Employee Learning Week is December 5-9, 2011.  What are your ideas for encouraging or celebrating learning at your work place or in your community during this week?

Here are some ideas we shared at the November All-Chapter Meeting.

Click "Add Comment" to add your idea(s) to share with your colleagues. If you post by Thanksgiving, your name will be entered into a drawing for a training or development resource book.

Celebrate Learning emails are being sent to all employees each day of Employee Learning Week. The Friday before, the week was announced and included a Congratulations to everyone who had finished our toughest industry training so far in 2011. The list of grads was included. Mon--Wed will share Microsoft Office tips--including how to find help. Thursday will give folks some information and a sneak peek at our new LMS. Friday will wrap up with another list of graduates from another of our toughest training programs. Each email contains a quotation about learning from a famous person. All tips and more are posted on our Intranet Training page under "Celebrate Learning."

We sent an email out each day of ELW. Each day was a theme.
    Day 1 = Leadership
    Day 2 = Education
    Day 3 = Attitude
    Day 4 = Revenue
    Day 5 = New Year
At the end of the week the first letter of each theme = LEARN.
