A Hawkeye ASTD Special Event

Whether you are a department of 100 or just one person, if you are tasked with improving performance (and who is not?), this workshop will provide you with numerous proven techniques, strategies, exercises and methodologies that you can successfully use as an internal or external professional.  Through a series of experiential exercises, the session will focus on the “how” of transforming an organizational culture and improving performance-based factors such as knowledge, skills, motivation levels, measurements, and leadership support.

Organizations, regardless of size, must learn to use their trainers and front-line managers in ways that promote increased performance for all employees while reducing the need for micromanaging from the senior leaders. Trainers, supervisors and managers are now the focal point of the performance revolution in most organizations. This call to lead, coach, mentor and thrive places extreme pressure for these professionals to understand the issues, gain the knowledge to address the issues, and then implement a strategy that will successfully increase the current performance levels from where they are to where they have to be in the new performance model of the organization.

In addition to his expertise, Jack Wolf, Ph.D., CPT, practices a "learn-by-doing" approach that guarantees a highly engaging and interactive session. This is one seminar you want to be sure to attend! Please come prepared to participate and have fun while you learn, and leave with a number of useful tools.

Target Audience

All workplace learning and performance professionals, supervisors, managers, senior managers, human resource professionals, and performance consultants (internal and external).

Learning Objectives

  • Incorporate at least five new learning and performance modules into your training library
  • Be able to use these templates in short and longer training programs when topics related to performance and change are the focus of a program
  • Use the session materials when designing an intervention/solution to the issue of performance improvement and/or change
  • Be able to use the session handout as a template in the custom design of your own training sessions
