We are seeking a highly motivated Training & Development Specialist who will be responsible for building effective relationships with team members to create a productive, engaged, and positive sales & service environment.  This professional will work with the Training and Human Resources Team to lead, create, and implement training and culture programs such as new employee onboarding, talent management, and career development which will be facilitated in a variety of forums. 

The successful candidate must have a 4 year college degree, proven communication and project management skills, coaching and training experience focused around adult learner methodologies.  The Training & Development Specialist will be proficient in instructional design and LMS experience to include needs analysis, training facilitation and post mortem for continuous quality improvement. The Training & Development Specialist must desire to work with and for people.

Job Description

What You Will Do: You will be responsible for designing and developing training and educational programs in connection with leadership, management, and individual development, team effectiveness, and change management initiatives.  You will contribute to implementation planning, and acts as a facilitator for core curriculum programming, with focus on manager programs. You will assist in needs assessment, measurement, curriculum review, and train-the-trainer activities for less experienced staff. You will provide client consulting on moderate to complex organizational issues and recommends learning or organizational development solutions, if identified as solution. You will partner with Talent Management Program Managers to lead the transformation, change management and execution of the Performance Management program.

What Success Looks Like: 

  • Designs, deploys, reviews, and facilitates organizational development programs at all levels of the organization using blended learning approaches (virtual, e-learning, instructor led).
  • Conducts needs analysis and develops measurements for employee or team development initiatives.
  • Assignments are broad in nature, requiring independent judgment, creative thinking, with general supervision.
  •  Partners with Talent Development leaders in working with business leadership to assess, recommend, and implement organizational development solutions to accomplish change management and human capital initiatives.
  • Provides additional services based on organizational needs including individual coaching, development planning, team effectiveness, project management, performance management and program development.
  • Performs responsibilities across multiple business divisions with understanding of diverse business needs and applications.
  • Workload may necessitate extended or non-traditional work hours.
  • Other duties as assigned based on divisional needs.
  • Conforms with and abides by all regulations, policies, work procedures, instruction, and all safety rules.
  • Exhibits regular, reliable, punctual and predictable attendance.   

What You Need: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field.
  • Minimum 5 years related professional experience. 
  • Professional presence and demonstration of core leadership competencies. 
  • Demonstrates flexibility, ability to assimilate to changing priorities.
  • Strong technical aptitude (LMS systems, e-learning authoring tools, and collaboration tool experience preferred). 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and facilitation skills.  
  • Creativity and strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks at one time. 
  • Motivated and dedicated to the development of others.
  • Ability to be a self-starter and execute on initiatives.
