PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
Professional (formerly known as "Soft") Skills are the bedrock of great leadership and value-added learning and development. Without these skills, TD experts can fall victim to training to numbers rather than empowering people. Mike Faber is the Director of Learning & Development at Fivetran, and has worked in the L&D field for three decades. In his presentation The 5 Professional Skills Every TD Professional Needs, Mike highlights why these skills are critical to corporate training professionals. As a benefit to attending this workshop, you'll walk away with tangible action steps that you can take to improve in each of the five key professional skills. To practice what he preaches, don't expect a slide-heavy monologue from Mike! This will be a working event, with the chance to share your own experiences in a collaborative, engaging discussion.
BIOGRAPHY
Mike Faber is the Director of Learning and Development at Fivetran, a company based in Oakland, California, that automates data integration from source to destination, making data instantly accessible and easy to analyze. Prior to Fivetran, Mike held learning and development positions with Charles Schwab and Co., Great-West Life, Worldplay, and Zoom. Before finding his way to L&D, Mike was a TV sportscaster, financial consultant, newspaper columnist, and gameshow host. Mike has written for numerous online and print publications, and is the author of two books on leadership and sales skills.
