Live and Lead with Courage

The top regret of the dying is that they wished they'd had the courage to live a life true to themselves, not the life others expected of them. We have the opportunity each and every day to show up authentically, live with courage, and lead by example for others to do the same. Below are themes that will be discussed during the breakout session and a high-level flow of the content and workshop exercises that will be incorporated throughout:

Authenticity - show up as you are Vulnerability - the secret sauce to connecting with others

Trust - the foundation upon which to build

Leading with courage - if trust is the foundation, courage is the cement - bringing it all together

Slow down to Speed Up - the power of groundedness and intentional focus

Kim Laughridge

Kim is a leadership and strategy coach with The Restoration Project.  She has extensive leadership and Operations management experience and over the last decade has lead teams focused on operational excellence, strategic planning and execution, and overall client experience.

Kim’s approach is to look at the entire picture for a team or organization, including leadership development, so when the rubber meets the road, the leadership team is engaged and motivated to achieve their goals. It is possible and critical to balance company culture and the bottom line. She is passionate about helping people to show up as the best version of themselves and to lead with empathy and understanding to be able to provide that same support to their teams and peers.

Kim was born and raised in Cedar Rapids and graduated from University of Iowa with a degree in English and Communications. She is married to Beau Laughridge and has a seven-year-old son Jaxon, and an almost four-year-old daughter Finley. Sheloves family game night and spending time outside when the weather is nice. She reads a lot in her spare time and hopes to do a few 5k’s this summer!
