Description: What is arguably the number one issue facing L&D professionals today? It’s Scrap Learning! Scrap learning, the gap or difference between learning that is delivered and what is actually applied back on the job, is a critical business issue for organizations – and for you! It not only wastes scarce organization resources, it threatens your credibility with business executive stakeholders.

Two benchmark research studies indicate that scrap learning ranges anywhere between 45% and 85% depending on the particular learning program. Whether it’s 45% or 85%, think about the resources wasted in planning, developing, and delivering training that’s not applied! The message is clear: scrap learning is a huge problem for L&D.

This begs the question: “What can be done about it?” The answer, and the topic of this workshop, is how to use Predictive Learning Analytics™ to reduce the amount of scrap learning associated with a learning program.

In the workshop, you will:

  • Discover the meaning of the term “scrap learning” and its impact on wasted organizational resources and lost credibility with business executive stakeholders.
  • Analyze how to build an algorithm that predicts which learners are most and least likely to apply what they learned in a training program back on the job and which managers are likely to do a good and poor job of supporting the training.
  • Examine the 3-phase, 9-step Predictive Learning Analytics methodology using data from an actual implementation.
  • Examine the 6 benefits of using Predictive Learning Analytics in your organization.
