PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

Working with a Subject Matter Expert can be a rewarding way to plan, create and facilitate unfamiliar content. A SME brings a wealth of knowledge, and their stories bring new life to content. The game is getting that information from them. Getting past the formalities and their ideas of what the training should or should not look like is a balancing act. You don’t want to step on their toes while working with them because you have engaged in a game of Twister rather than collaboration. You also don’t want to pass go and skip valuable information because it is looked up in a jail of technical speak. When we play these games with a SME, the result can leave your learners feeling like they are playing a game of Scrabble.

Learn how to make a game plan for asking better questions, setting mutual expectations and level the playing field for your SME, the learner and you!
