BIOGRAPHY
Paula is a life-long learner herself, she fell into an "accidental" trainer role early on in her retail career and developed a passion for helping guide others to use their tools and resources to help them be the best they can. She is a firm believer that if there isn't a tool or resource available - then one should be developed. After graduating from the University of Northern Iowa, Paula spent many years in the retail field training and developing new Managers, onboarding new staff, and assisting them with new store openings throughout the Midwest. She also served as part of a team that developed and rolled out a Corporate-wide training program. Today, Paula is the Director of Training and Development at Corda Credit Union in Cedar Rapids, IA. Paula has been a member of the ATD Hawkeye Chapter for 5 years and has served on the Board as VP of Professional Development for the past 4 years. She has championed the Train the Trainer series, and Certification Study Groups for the chapter. Paula obtained her APTD Certified in 2021 and has recently partnered to join a Cohort Capabilities Study Group hosted by the Kansas City ATD Chapter.
Michael Henry, MSEd, CPTD, joins us as a guest facilitator. He considers himself an eLearning "Evangelist". He is passionate about using online tools to help develop individuals to their fullest potential. Michael is the eLearning Producer at Point-Productions, LLC and also an eMentor and Lecturer at the University of Kansas, Kansas City Missouri area. Michael is a Past-President of the ATD KC Chapter and partners with a Cohort Capabilities Study Group for ATD members interested in earning their APTD or CPTD certifications.
